PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam

Your PRINCE2 Practitioner exam is the second PRINCE2 exam.  You need to pass the Foundation exam before you can take the Practitioner certification. Unless you are a PMP and opt to skip the Foundation exam.

The PRINCE2 Practitioner examination consists of 68 questions.  The questions are multiple choice and matching with a single answer.  The different types of questions test your ability to apply PRINCE2 and analyze project management situations with a short scenario.

PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam questions

Each question is worth 1 mark, so there are 68 marks in total.   To pass you need 55% or 38 marks in order to achieve Practitioner certification. On a PRINCE2 course you take the Practitioner on Day 5.  After a PRINCE2 Practitioner exam the completed papers are sent away to be marked externally and your result will be delivered in 1 week.  This can vary, depending on the time of year.

After 3 years, your PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner qualification will expire.  To keep your Registered Practitioner status you need to retake the Practitioner exam or accumulate 20 CPDs points per year to remain active.  If you are a PMP you can claim 56 PDUs on an Advantage Learning PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training course.
